Resistive Touchscreen
Resistive touchscreens work on the basis of pressure applied to the screen. A resistive screen consists of a number of layers. When the screen is pressed, the outer later is pushed onto the next layer — the technology senses that pressure is being applied and registers input. Resistive touchscreens are versatile as they can be operated with a finger, a fingernail, a stylus or any other object. This screen is accurate to at least display pixel resolution, as can be seen when drawing or writing characters with a stylus, making it useful for handwriting recognition and interfaces with smaller control elements.

For easier input of frequent text, you can now create quick responses and store them in the app, then enter them from a convenient menu when composing. When replying to a message, you can now toggle the message to Reply All and Forward without changing screens.
For easier browsing across accounts and labels, the app adds an integrated menu of accounts and recent labels. To help you locate and organize IMAP and Exchange email, the Email app now supports nested mail subfolders, each with synchronization rules. You can also search across folders on the server, for faster results. Where and who you email with is up to you (Wi-Fi connection required).

I'm left with a 60 dollar paperweight now, because since it won't charge up - I can't do a factory reset, and if I can't do a factory reset...well, I'm not going to send it back to get a refund. I tried with this device. I really did. I knew it was the best, or the greatest, or the most sleek. I found workarounds and compromises just to get AmazonApps to not crash. My biggest gripe is that Apple devices are tied to iTunes and the capacitive screen is designed for finger touch. Most iPad styluses have a fat nib which replicates your fingertip. I consider a stylus for drawing on a tablet to be a necessity (though I've certainly seen people create beautiful artwork on an iPad using only their finger as an input device). Drawing with a fat nib stylus is like drawing with a crayon or pastel stick. It's great for something more painterly but not great for tighter drawings created with a pencil or pen.
